THE ROLE:

Since September 2021, I have been employed with Uncommon Creatives, the in-house marketing agency of Virginia Commonwealth University.

 

As a marketing assistant, I focus on creating content and assets that aim to enhance VCU student engagement.

THE WORK:

Take a look at some of the content I've produced for various student events.

Every promotion includes assets for social media platforms, Ramsconnect, the exclusive online community for university events, and TV screens strategically positioned all over campus.

The Activities Programming Board hosts movie nights every Friday during the academic year. For this event, my role is to produce the necessary assets to promote the movie of the week.

Third Thursdays is a monthly speaker event I develop promotions for. This is held by a student organization, The Underground, inviting current and previous students to discuss the topic of leadership.

VCU's After Dark is a regular student gathering featuring a range of activities, such as Drag Bingo. Part of my role is to produce the deliverables for several After Dark events like this. 

VCU WEEKS OF HAVOC CONCEPT:

The VCU Weeks of Havoc spans over twelve days and nights, featuring block parties, concerts, food, and a variety of events to mark the arrival of summer. Think of it as an "end-of-the-year homecoming."

Below are elements of the deck I designed and presented to the Uncommon Creatives team and the VCU Board of Activities and Programming. This later inspired the '22 Havoc week theme, activity ideas, and promotional assets.
